The women from the Zoe Project live and work in the shanty towns of Peru.  JustTrade offers them a rare opportunity to support their families without exploitation, in a place where long hours, poor conditions and punishingly low pages are the norm.  The project provides fairly-paid, secure work in a safe environment.

 

As important as a living wage is, we believe that work is about more than money.  

By also empowering our workers to be creatively involved in the design of our products, the projects foster the dignity and self-worth that are too often casualities of extreme poverty.
